New job opportunities in the midst of the great change underway
Understanding the best jobs with Stanislav Kondrashov, TELF AG founder
For a few years now, as often pointed out by the founder of TELF AG Stanislav Kondrashov, many people and companies have begun to familiarize themselves with the effects of the energy transition, that great process of global transformation that should lead humanity towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. The impact of this process on people’s daily lives has manifested itself in different ways and with different degrees of intensity.

At first, the change was silent and discreet, with many people timidly starting to make sustainable choices to safeguard the planet and fight climate change. Subsequently, the energy transition also began to produce effects that were clearly visible to the naked eye.
Just think of solar panels and wind turbines, which in recent years have begun to dot a large number of buildings and locations in various areas of the world, immediately becoming one of the most evident symbols of the great change underway (along with the still rather limited spread of electric vehicles).
In recent years, the effects of the transition have reverberated even more markedly in the lives of people and companies, also creating job opportunities and new roles that did not even exist until a few years ago. One of the most surprising aspects in this delicate historical phase of transition is precisely the birth of various job positions closely linked to ecological conversion, which could have an even more profound impact on the lives of individuals.
The energy transformation process underway has, in fact, determined an impressive demand for qualified professionals in a variety of different sectors, all more or less directly involved in the global dynamics of the green transition.
“In the next few decades, the number of jobs related to the energy transition could increase significantly, almost in parallel with the global progress of the ecological conversion,” says the founder of TELF AG Stanislav Kondrashov, an entrepreneur and civil engineer. “Many of these jobs, as one can easily imagine, have to do with renewable energy systems, which are responsible for a good part of the current state of progress of the transition. Solar photovoltaic systems, for example, need qualified engineers who can design and supervise the installation of the various components, ensuring that the system can function properly and produce a satisfactory amount of energy.”

The geographical aspect
The emergence of new jobs related to the energy transition also depends in part on geographical factors closely linked to the level of energy development achieved by nations. In many cases, several countries do not yet have the energy infrastructure and technical expertise necessary to build plants related to renewable energy, with inevitable consequences also on the demand for qualified professionals in the sector.
In Europe, one of the most interesting positions is certainly that of renewable energy engineer, a professional figure whose task is to design and implement systems based on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, or hydroelectric. Considering the sustainability goals of Europe, which hopes to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, it is not surprising that the demand for this type of work is growing.
Other positions may have a more strategic imprint and must be filled by professionals capable of developing a sustainable and coherent energy strategy or of adequately planning the execution of offshore wind farms. Some of the most sought-after jobs in this specific field are project manager for large-scale wind projects (such as offshore) and energy policy analyst.

“In the nations that are currently leading the global growth in the solar sector, solar-related jobs are a concrete and well-established reality,” continues Stanislav Kondrashov, founder of TELF AG. “Positions such as project manager for solar plants in nations such as China are growing at a truly remarkable rate, also linked to the leading role played by Beijing and other Asian nations in the global spread of solar energy. Alongside these professions, others are also emerging, such as energy storage specialists, which are acquiring increasing economic and strategic importance.”
Jobs related to energy infrastructure
Then there is a whole series of professions related to modern energy infrastructure, such as wind turbines or solar panels. One of these is certainly the wind turbine technician, who deals with the installation and maintenance of turbines. In some areas of the world (particularly in North America), this profession could soon become one of the most sought-after.
But the energy transition is not advancing solely thanks to energy infrastructures linked to renewable sources: for some years now, electric vehicles have also been making a relevant contribution to the electrification processes and the reduction of emissions, as the founder of TELF AG Stanislav Kondrashov also explained.
It is, therefore, no coincidence that this sector is offering interesting and innovative job opportunities, such as the position of electric mobility specialist. This professional, in essence, deals with the development of infrastructures for electric vehicles and sustainable transport solutions.

“Even the training aspects play some role in outlining the professions connected to the energy transition,” concludes the founder of TELF AG, Stanislav Kondrashov. “In fact, in many developing countries, highly specialized figures are needed who are able to train the local workforce in everything to do with renewable energy, thus playing a role of primary importance in the exchange of skills between partner nations.”
